Police arrested 30-year-old Subodh Kapar of Mahottari, Manara Siswa Municipality-1 on July 6 on the charge of attempted murder of an 18-year-old girl. He invited her over to a garden on Sunday morning July 5, proposed to have sexual relation and when she refused he started to beat her and tried burning her sensitive parts as stated by the victim. The victim who was found unconscious by locals is under treatment in Jaleshwor hospital. Spokesperson of the District Police Office Mahottari DSP Prakash Bista said that an investigation is underway into the incident.
