KATHMANDU: The Nepal World Hindu Federation has protested against the restriction in the construction of a temple of Lord Krishna in Islamabad, Pakistan.

The federation staged a protest in Birgunj on Saturday against the ban on temple construction.

The federation has condemned the intervention of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan in the construction of the temple and set his effigy on fire during the protest.

There was significant participation of the youth in the protest rally led by the federation Vice President Vijay Prakash Nishad.

“Pakistan’s Hindu minority is still being oppressed by the government. Another major crime is the government’s refusal to allow Hindu temples to be built,” he said.
