Police, on July 12, arrested 23-year-old Akalesh Tharu from Bijayanagar Rural Municipality-2, Kapilbastu, on a charge of raping a 14-year child on November 8, 2019.   According to the Police Inspector Madhu Nepal, the victim’s father had lodged a complaint at the Area Police Office, Ganeshpur on July 11 accusing that Tharu had raped his daughter by giving a false hope of marriage.  Health checkup of the victim was conducted at Shivaraj Hospital, Bahadurgunj on July 11.
