Construction businessmen of Koshi Pahad from the four districts of Dhankuta padlocked office of Comptroller of State Accounting Unit, Nishan Rai, and Chief of Urban Development and Building office, Milan Acharya, Dhankuta on July 14 saying the payment was not cleared even at the end of the fiscal year.
According to Rai, the contract payment was stopped as per the verbal instructions of the Ministry of Finance and 280 million is yet to be paid. According to Acharya, there is a delay in funds due to COVID.
