Former SI arrested from Biratnagar on charge of rape

Morang Police arrested a former Sub-Inspector of Nepal Police on charge of rape.
Former SI Nayan Shrestha of Biratnagar Metropolitan City-12 has been arrested following a complaint lodged by a woman.
According to the police, he was arrested on the basis of a complaint that she was raped at the Biratnagar-3 at the office of a security company on February 15 2020.
According to DSP Rai, the girl had lodged the complaint about five months after the incident saying that she was raped by making various threats.
Investigation is underway on the arrested Shrestha. Police said that they were searching for the other two persons involved in the incident.
