Family of a 16-year-old girl lodged a complaint on July 12 against 21-year-old Manohar Kumar Rai of Siraha, Kalyanpur Municipality-12 stating that Rai raped the girl. The victim was taken to India after she was raped by luring her with a promise of marriage on June 12 and upon her return; she tested positive for corona and is currently kept at quarantine.

According to Inspector Dipendra Shrestha of the District Police Office Siraha, a search was underway as the accused absconded.
