Nepal Telecom employees are agitated and protested by forming a joint struggle committee against external interference and delay in management.
They demanded the interference be stopped, renewal fee be made scientific, restructuring of the company for the internal strengthening, and an opportunity for professional development.
Tej Bahadur Shahi, general secretary of the Nepal Telecom Employees' Union, said that the company was showing negative signs because there had been no timely service expansion and quality improvement. Also, the revenue has decreased recently, the professional development of the employees has shrunk and the government has discriminated in the renewal of mobile services.
