Police arrested Dal Bahadur Moktan on the charge of murdering 21-year-old pregnant Roshni Blon of Mahabharat Rural Municipality Ward-1 based on a complaint filed by the victim's relatives stating that the victim died due to injuries caused by being beaten brutally on July 2. She fell unconscious on her way to maternal home and died without proper access to medical treatment on July 3. The autopsy revealed that 3 broken ribs, blood clot in her lungs, broken neck bone and deep internal injuries and bruises in different parts of her body.

DSP Kumar Bikram Thapa concluded that it was not possible to say whether the victim died because of beating or self-inflicted wounds, but the investigation was underway.
