Police on July 19 arrested 19-year-old Prakash Karki of Makwanpur District, Hetauda Sub-Metropolis-11 and currently living at Godavari Municipality-13  of Lalitpur District on the charge of raping a 6-year-old girl.

According to the victim's mother, the accused took the victim to a maize field in Jharuvarasi of Godavari Municipality-13 on July 14 and raped her. 

A relative of the victim had lodged a complaint against the accused at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Chapagaun, Lalitpur on July 13. 

Bishnu Prasad Sharma informed that the health examination of the victim girl was conducted at Patan Hospital Lalitpur on July 19 .
