On July 24, a woman filed a complaint against her 40-year-old husband for sexually abusing her 15-year-old daughter multiple times over the past 3 months. The girl underwent medical examination on July 25 in the Provincial Hospital, Janakpur. The father is said to be mentally ill and has been sent to a month-long medical treatment to the District Hospital, Jaleshwor. In coordination with District police office, Mahottari the girl has been sent to an NGO safe house based in Janakur after realizing that the girl doesn't feel safe in her own house.
