Army personnel arrested on charge of rape in Humla

Police arrested 27-year-old army personnel, Govinda Sunar of Kharpunath Rural Municipality Ward-4 on July 24 on the charge of raping a 16-year-old girl. A complaint was lodged at the District Police Office, Humla on April 29 stating that Sunar raped the girl on August 16, 2019. However, the arrest was delayed as the accused was posted in Jumla.
The accused has been remanded to police custody in Humla, and investigation is ongoing.
