23-year-old Padam Rai from Udayapur died in an ambulance around 3:30 pm on July 24, Friday afternoon after Nobel Hospital and Koshi hospital in Biratnagar refused to admit him.

Rai was taken to Koshi hospital after Nobel hospital refused to admit him saying that he might be infected with corona. Koshi hospital also, however, did not allow him to be dropped off the ambulance at the hospital according to driver Subash Tamang. Rai died about an hour later in the ambulance parked in front of the emergency ward of Koshi hospital.
