Work halted in Lalitpur Metropolitan City protesting arrest of ward chairman

On July 27, Monday, the Local Level Employees Union Nepal and Lalitpur metropolitan unit of National Employees Union, halted work in all the wards of the metropolis protesting the arrest of Ward No. 3 Chairman Shree Gopal Maharjan. Maharjan was arrested on the charge of writing a recommendation for an illegal kidney transplant.
