Family of a 15-year-old girl lodged a complaint against 23-year-old Asish Mirdaha of Karjanha Municipality-1, Siraha,  at Area Police Office Mirchaiya, on July 28. The victim’s mother stated that Mirdaha raped the girl on July 26.  She added that the complaint process was delayed after relatives and locals tried to reconcile the incident in the village.

According to the DSP Santulal Prasad Jaiswal of Area Police Office, Mirchaiya, they were searching for the absconded accused. Health check-up of the victim was conducted at District Hospital Siraha on July 28.
