Police arrested Ram Ganesh Sah of Gaushala Municipality-10, Mahottari, driver of Maruti van bearing plate number Ba 16 Cha 8971. Sah was arrested on July 29 on the charge of abusing on-duty police personnel while inspecting the overcrowded van contrary to safety standards at a check post at Bhimphedi Rural Municipality Ward-2, Makwanpur. He had initially tried to bribe the police.

Police are further investigating the incident.
