On Aug 3, 26-year-old Asha Lama of Lisangkhu Pakhar Village Municipality 2 was arrested for beating a 70-year-old woman. According to Inspector Ghimire, Lama accused the old woman of being a witch in Chandada of Lisangkhu on July 31 and physically assaulted her. On Aug 1, the victim lodged a complaint at the District Police Office and on the same day underwent medical treatment and examination for her injuries in Chautara Hospital.
