Son arrested on suspicion of strangling elderly mother to death in Darchula

Police arrested 53-year-old Nar Bahadur Bam of Darchula, Brahmdev Dunhu Rural Municipality Ward-3 on August 5 on suspicion of strangling his elderly mother to death taking her away from home on the pretext of bathing her. 80-year-old Narudevi Bam had blue marks on her neck.
The body was taken to the District Hospital, Darchula for a postmortem examination on August 5 and further investigation is underway.
