Contract employees of Salyan, Chhatreshwori Rural Municipality have formed a struggle committee and started the agitation program on August 6 and protested against the executive for their decision to dismiss the contract employees. They have demanded immediate appointment of current contract employees, continuity of contract agreement, and not to be used as a political agenda.
The rural municipality had hired 101 contract employees.
The rural municipality has not been able to pass the policy, program, and budget which was made public through them on June 24, for the current fiscal year 2020/2021, as the elected representatives of Chhatreshwori Rural Municipality, from Nepal Communist Party(NCP), boycotted the rural assembly demanding to remove contract employees who have been appointed more than required.
