Suryodaya Municipality has announced indefinite lockdown from August 7. The lockdown announced as per the decision of the 95th emergency meeting of the city executive. The chairperson of Ward No. 10, Pema Ugen Lama said, the municipality has taken this decision after the number of Covid-19 infections in the district including Suryoday Municipality has skyrocketed. Except for emergency services all other gatherings including governmental services will not be operational. In the case of food shops and food items, they will be opened only from 8 am to 12 noon following the minimum social distance and safety standards.
