Demonstration staged against private hospitals in Birgunj

Residents of Birgunj staged a protest at Narayani hospital of Birgunj Metropolitan city on August 8 after private hospitals in Birgunj refused to admit patients of common ailment and started returning patients from the gate without any treatment.
They protested against the private hospitals after 3 locals lost their lives due to a lack of treatment in the last three days. They have demanded to resume services including emergency services and action against those hospitals which refused to admit patients.
On August 7, the District Administration Office, Parsa, had warned to take action against the hospitals for returning any patients without treatment.
