Police arrested a 45-year-old Mumtaz Dewan Fakir of Gujara-5 for abducting and raping a 14-year-old girl. The accused reportedly lured and threatened the victim and took her to Muzaffarpur in India and sexually abused her for two weeks there. Later, on July 29, the accused left the victim in the boundary between Katariya and  Gujara Municipality and fled.

According to Chief Inspector Chandra Kishor Shah of the Area Police Office, Vijaypur, a petition on the charge of abduction and rape is registered against Fakir.
