Two people arrested for selling manure on the black-market in Bara

While farmers are struggling with scarcity of fertilizers for their paddy, two people have been arrested in Bara for selling fertilizers in black by opening a cooperative. Police arrested the Manager of Kushwaha Bij Bhandar, Murari Shah of Kalaiya Sub-Metropolis 1 Rajdevi Tol, and Dhananjay Shah who is the son of Vishwanath Shah Kalwar an employee of Shri Asakamini Mai Agriculture Cooperative. They sold the fertilizer at a higher price which was bought by Shri Asakamini Mai Agriculture Cooperative Kalaiya on subsidy from Salt Trading Birgunj. A total of 55 bags of manure including 19 bags of urea manure, 14 bags of sulfate, and 22 bags of Indian urea manure bought from Salt Trading Birgunj was found stored in the shop. The District Police Office stated the black-market case is under investigation and further action will be taken according to the Social Crimes and Punishment Act 2032.
