Police have arrested 22-year-old Arpan Tamang aka Raju Tamang of Nuwakot currently residing in Tarkeshwor Municipality-2 Kavresthali on the charge of raping and trafficking a 17-year-old girl by luring her with the fake promise of marriage. Police arrested Tamang on August 17 on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim against him on August 13 at Human Trafficking Bureau of Police. In the complaint, the victim stated that Tamang lured her through Facebook and repeatedly raped her before trafficking her to India.
