Locals have protested against the attempt to make Asharam Hospital a temporary Covid hospital. Locals fear that the infection could spread when Covid Hospital is set up in the middle of the settlement.
Tensions erupted for a few moments when locals protested disobeying the prohibitory order, while a team including SP Ganga Pant went to the hospital for on-site monitoring.
Police have arrested two persons on charges of disturbing public peace. Manojit Kunwar, Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Parsa, informed that police sent back other protestors after convincing.
