Ambulance drivers of Dhankuta demand PCR test every 15 days

Ambulance drivers of Dhankuta  have started protests stating that the risk is increasing when ambulances are used to transport patients unsafely. They had handed a letter of memorandum to the CDO Keshav Prasad Bimali on Monday with 10 points demands including the PCR test of ambulance drivers in every 15 days,  provide  safety equipment  and  food and accommodation during the Corona pandemic.

Similarly, It has been demanded that check-ups at Bhedetar should be stopped, vehicles should be disinfected every day, ambulance driver’s insurance fee should be available free of cost, 50 percent of the ambulance fare should be given to the ambulance driver while carrying the COVID-19 patient, and ambulance driver’s representative should be included in every meeting related to the COVID-19.
