Manoj Mukhiya of Bishnupur Rural Municipality-6 in Saptari has filed a complaint of domestic violence against his father Jiwachha Mukhiya on August 27 at Bishnupur police post accusing him of beating his mother and Jiwachha's wife, 35-year-old Phuliyadevi Mukhiya with rod and sticks on the night of August 26. Manoj filed the complaint against his father saying that he had been repeatedly beating his mother under the influence of alcohol and on August 26 he attacked her with the intention of killing her. The woman sustained serious injuries in various parts of her body in the attack and is undergoing treatment at Gajendranarayan Singh hospital in Rajbiraj.
