Nepal Communist Party (NCP) cadres padlocked the ward office of Sharada Municipality-12, Salyan, accusing the ward chairman of forming a consumers committee using fake signatures. The NCP cadres alleged that Ward Chairman Deepak Hamal and the Chairman of the Consumers’ Committee Premlal Bista collected fake signatures from villagers and signed the agreement for the lift drinking water project.
NCP District Committee member Bhola Budhathoki said the cadres of NCP were ignored while forming the consumers committee in Lift Drinking Water project. He added that the lock will not be opened until an all-party consumer committee is formed.
Meanwhile, Chairman Dipak Hamal said that a consumer committee was formed by going in the houses of the villagers due to the risk of corona. He accused NCP cadres had padlocked the ward office to take political revenge.
