Black-marketing of fertilizer has become rampant in Parsa in recent days. Farmers in Parsa are forced to buy at high prices from private traders as they do not get government subsidized chemical fertilizers.
The local traders have been creating an artificial shortage of urea fertilizer for Farmer. Sheshman Pandit of Parsa Ramgarhba says that the farmers are forced to buy urea fertilizer at Rs. 700 to Rs. 1,500 per bag.
