The District Police Office Parsa had directed all the ward offices of Birgunj Metropolitan City to send reliefs to be distributed to poor and those affected by the prohibitory order. SP Ganga Pant entered the office urging everyone to wait in a queue to receive relief. But the police came from inside the police office and started assaulting the relief expectant. A woman sustained a broken hand in the melee that ensued after police started chasing the relief expectant.
