Police have arrested a youth on the charge of raping his own mother.
According to the District Police Office, Ilam, a 23-year-old youth of Deumai Municipality-6 has been arrested from Toribari of Ilam Municipality-5 who was absconding after raping his 63-year-old mother on August 23.
He was arrested last night by the team of Inspector Navin Rai, according to the District Police Office, Ilam.
The incident is being further investigated.
