Teachers of Kailali working under the teaching-learning grant quota in community schools with zero vacancies have padlocked the main gate and office of head of Education Development and Coordination Unit, Kailali.
In the previous academic session a lump sum was released in the first month of the economic year as a salary for the granted teachers working under the Government of Nepal in community schools across the country.
But the salary of the past two months is yet to be released in this new economic session by showing the crisis of corona virus pandemic.
Nandaram Chaudhary, the coordinator of Grant Teachers Committee Kailali, said they were compelled to padlock the office after their demands handed to education minister through a press release was not addressed.
