OKHALDHUNGA, Sept 15: Police on Monday arrested three boys on the charge of gang-raping a girl in Okhaldhunga.
Following the first information report by the family of the victim, police apprehended three teenagers who had allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl from Champadevi Rural Municipality. The boys aged 14, 16 and 18 also hail from the same place, according to the District Police Office (DPO), Okhaldhunga.
According to the girl’s family sources, the boys raped her on September 9.
“The boys, who were held by the police post at Ghorakhori, were brought to DPO for further investigation,” said Inspector Milan Basnet. He also added that the preliminary investigation suggested that two of them were involved in the rape while the other boy helped them.
Medical test and treatment of the girl is underway at the district hospital, Inspector Basnet added.
