Police have arrested Dinesh Jimba (44) of Bagmati Rural Municipality-2, Malta in accusation of attempting to rape a 49-year-old woman. He was arrested by Metropolitan Police Circle of Chapagaun on September 14.

The accused had attempted to do so on September 14, therefore, the victim lodged a complaint against him on the same day, informed DSP Krishna Raj Ojha. According to the victim, the accused had tried raping her previously as well.

The district court of Lalitpur has provided seven days for investigation regarding the incident, informed DSP Ojha.

Health checkup of the victim was conducted on September 15 at Patan Hospital.
