Tourism workers stage demonstration demanding resignation of Minister Bhattarai

The Tourism Workers' Struggle Committee and workers in the tourism sector started an agitation in front of the Tourism Board on Sunday, September 27 after the tourism business came to a standstill because of the coronavirus epidemic on Sunday, September 27 on the context of “Tourism Day”. The workers went to the Tourism Board with slogans from Maitighar Mandala.

They accused the government of failing to protect Nepal's tourism sector by doing nothing to protect the rights and survival of the workers in the tourism sector in this crisis and demanded the safety of tourism workers and to ensure their livelihood.

The agitating tourism workers also chanted slogans demanding the resignation of the tourism minister for not working in the best interest of the workers. They chanted slogans saying that it is a black day for them even though it is a tourist day.
