Contract staffs from all seven wards of Chhatreshwori Rural Municipality have padlocked the offices of the wards in the Rural Municipality demanding their contract to be renewed. Deepak Bohora, coordinator of Contract Employee Struggle Committee said that they would continue the padlock until their demands were met. Bohora said that it jeopardized them their livelihood due to political conflict between Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and Nepali Congress. Local representatives from Nepali Congress are in favour of renewing the contract while NCP representatives have been demanding the discontinuation of the contract employees saying that there are enough staffs.
