Three youths on motorcycles and youths from local houses allegedly hired by the chairperson of Ward No. 12 beat up the group of women in Jugeda who came in the group with slogans against the ward chairperson for not providing relief. The real hurricane victims of Ward No. 12 Jugeda were beaten on the way when they were coming to lay siege to the District Administration Office, Kailali and Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis Ward No. 12 after locking the office of Jugeda- C Village for not receiving any relief.
The women reported that the youths took away their gold jewelries, mobile phones and even cash. The mobile phones were snatched when some women tried to make a video of the incident.
Meanwhile, the Ward chairperson, Ganesh Prasad Joshi denied the allegations.
