Doctors and employees of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, under the leadership of Medical and Dental Welfare Society have started  a sit-in program  in front of VC office.  Chairman of the struggle committee Dr. Bishnu Pokhrel said they have been protesting in front of the Vice Chancellor’s office every morning accusing VC ignored their demands several times.  

According to him, the society has put forward demands including timely promotion of doctors, increment of salary,  and provision of risk allowance for the health workers fighting COVID treatment. Doctor Pokhrel said although the administration has increased the salary, the promotion process has not started yet, and the institute has not provided the risk allowance.
