Nawalparasi: Around 400 Entrepreneurs have taken out a tractor rally demanding access to riverine products in Kawasoti and Dumkibas, the district headquarters of East Nawalparasi, on Friday.
The rally started by circulating 250 tractors from Kawasoti Ramnagar Chowk and reached Kawasoti Municipality and 187 tractors in Thana Chowk and Danda to draw the attention of the local administration and the local government.
Shiva Giri, District chairman of the Tractor Entrepreneurs' Committee, stated that more than 1,500 tractors and 50,000 laborers have become jobless as the local level has not signed the river contract. Also, the entrepreneurs and workers have not been able to find the work for nine months as the contract of dozen of rivers in East Nawalparasi have not been signed.
