Police have arrested Krishna Gharti, 18, of Swargaddhari Municipality-1 on October 3 on the charge of raping a six-year-old girl.

The relatives of the victim had lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on September 28 alleging that the accused had raped the girl.

According to Inspector Bishnu Poudel of the District Police Office, the accused was arrested from his house and his term was extended for investigation.

The girl was examined at the District Hospital, Bijuwar on October 1.
