Chitwan, October, 4: Led by Institutional School Teachers Union (ISTU), teachers in Chaubiskothi, Bharatpur have staged an hour-long silent demonstration against the non-receipt of their salaries since April. In support of this demand, simultaneous silent demonstrations have started in all districts across the country.
Even when the festivals are approaching, the teachers working in the institutional schools have not received any services from the school management committee while some school had not even received the salaries since March.
Despite repeated calls for attention and the ongoing protest since the last week of June, the schools have not considered their demands which forced them to choose the path of agitation to exert pressure.
