Demonstration staged in Barahathawa against alleged framing of Dalit youths

A protest has been staged in Barahathawa of Sarlahi on Sunday afternoon saying that two innocent Dalit youths have been falsely charged in a crime they were not involved in the incident.
A large number of Dalits protested in Barahathawa on Sunday against the charge-sheet filed after the suicide of Sobhita Devi Paswan in Dhankaul two years ago. The protest was led by the president of Nepal Dalit Association Sarlahi Madan Bishwakarma, Dalit leader and Janata Samajwadi Party leader Rajaram Paswan. The participants of the demonstration demanded not to trap the innocent and bring the guilty under the ambit of the law.
Police have arrested Punit only a few days ago. Bechan and Jagdev are absconding.
