Madhes, Dhanusha, Janakpur

A joint project of Covid-19 Quick Response Team and the youth of Janakpurdham have staged a peaceful protest at Ramananda Chowk in Janakpurdham by blocking the road on October 7 to support of Dr Govinda KC, who has been on hunger strike for the past 24 days demanding medical education reform. They protested against the government’s ignorance towards the legitimate demands of Dr KC. He started the strike in Jumla on September 14 and was taken to Kathmandu on September 22 after his bad health condition.

Protestors carried placards with slogans against the present government for their anti-civil affairs and health minister saying 'Dr. KC is not a person, he is a voice', 'Our health is in our hands',' We are with Dr KC ',' Stop looting, save Dr Govinda KC's life ',' our real hero Dr Govinda KC’, ‘stop the dominance of Medical Mafias', ‘Fulfill the Demand of Dr Govinda KC'. They further put sarcastic words in the cards for the recent controversial recommendation of the ambassadors by the government by not paying attention to Dr KC’s demand.

Protestors have requested the entire Nepali people need to move forward in support of him as he is fighting for the common people’s interest
