The bodies of six people who died in a road accident in Junichande-1, Lodne to Luhadah on Wednesday evening October 7 was not allowed to be collected yet by the locals stating that they had lost their lives due to the accident caused by roads built against standard. Despite sending additional forces including Armed Police Force and Nepal Police from the district headquarters, the security personnel were not able to go near the incident site due to obstruction by locals.
The victims family set fire to the driver's shop in Suwannauli as the driver Gorakah Bahadur Basnet is nowhere to be found. A few months ago, there was a human casualty in a jeep accident at the same place. According to the locals, the problem arose because of the corrupt construction workers. Vehicles have been involved in accidents in this area due to lack of attention from stakeholders
The jeep was heading to Para from Khalanga district headquarters for a meeting of the executive committee of Junichande rural municipality has met with an accident and fallen into the river. The deceased have been identified as 50-year-oldAmar Bahadur Shahi(Chairperson of ward 11), 60-year-old Kirti Shahi,32-year-old Khem Bahadur Shahi, 30-year-old Malika Basnet ( fromward-5), 29-year-old Krishna Bahadur Shahiand Lal Bahadur Budha.
