The Metropolitan Police Circle (Baneshwor) arrested 43-year-old Durga BK of Dang on October 7 from Koteshwor based on the charge of raping a 7-year-old girl of Shahayoginagar near the banks of Bagmati Corridor in Baneshwor.

According to the police, the locals informed the police after eye-witnessing the rape. He was immediately arrested after the girl's relatives lodged a complaint of rape. Kathmandu District Court on October 8 gave 7 days time for the police for further investigating the case.
