Police arrested a 46-year-old man on October 8 on the charge of raping his 36-year-old sister-in-law. The accused raped her on March 21 and had threatened to kill her if she talks about the incident to anyone.

The victim had lodged a complaint at the Area Police Office, Butwal on September 29 only after the return of her husband who was abroad for employment. The victim underwent a medical examination at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal on September 29, and the action is being taken at the accused continuing further investigation.
