Senior forensic medical officer Dr. Virendra Kumar Mandal of 10th level from Kalaiya Hospital in Bara who got transferred to Ram Kumar-Umaprasad Memorial Hospital (Lahan Hospital) in Lahan Municipality-3 of Siraha was tricked by not allowing him to register his attendance.
Dr. Mandal got transfer letter on October 8 based on the decision of the state's social development ministry, the next day (October 9) when he reached the hospital he could not find attendance register but this happened again on Sunday October 11.
Medical Superintendent. Dr. Sunil Prasad Kuswaha who is working in Lahan Hospital since 7 years stopped emergency services, hid the attendance register and locked the main entrance to the administration branch posting a notice stating that the service had to be stopped due to Corona for 12 hours until PCR report is received. This caused discomfort to the patients especially in this corona pandemic and also hampered the daily administrative work.
The committee is against this unjust act and for the solution they did a meeting on Monday October 12 to set up a new register in coordination with the Ministry of Social Affairs and took the attendance of Dr.Kumar. The meeting of the committee has demanded action from the ministry and local administration and requested to the ministry with a recommendation to give Dr. Mandal the main responsibility for financial and administrative work of the hospital.
