Silent demonstration of adolescent girls in Tulsipur for not arresting the perpetrators of gang rape yet

Adolescent girls in Tulsipur staged a silent demonstration against the increasing incidents of rape and murder. The youths spontaneously gathered at B.P. Chowk in Tulsipur carrying placards with various slogans saying that the culprits involved in the incident should be severely punished. 

The demonstration lasted for two hours from 8 am to 10 am on October 13, the slogans on the placards stated the questions like, how long will the government be silent? Why is the government silent when the rape is increasing? Why is the government cracking down on rapists, show the desire to protect women?

Women's rights activists, various organizations and youths have intensified protests in different parts of the country as women parliamentarians have demanded the enactment of a law in the federal parliament to punish the perpetrators who rape and murder any girl below 16-year-old.

The victim, a 17-year-old girl of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolis-5 Ranijaruwa lodged the complaint against 18-year-olds Bishnu Budhathoki of Tulsipur-5 and Karan Sarki of Tulsipur-7 for gang-raping her on October 8 at 11 pm by taking her to an empty house and for raping her again the next day by taking her hostage. According to a source, the initial investigation revealed that she was raped by her acquaintances. Police said that they are looking for the accused and will take them under control and bring justice.
