Locals Kripal Mahato and his son Dinesh brutally assaulted Malhu Sada and Bindeshwar Sada in Birta of Bhangaha Municipality-4 on theft charges on Saturday, October 10. The victims lodged a complaint against Mahato at Sitapur police station
A robbery took place at Mahato’s house at 2 pm on Saturday. Thieves dug a tunnel and entered his house and stole his wife’s gold nose ring while the wife said that she could not clearly identify them. The accused, Malhu and Bindeshwar denied the theft charges on them stating that they had gone for fishing on the time of that incident but Mahato entered their house at around 4 in the morning and beat them brutally tying them in a motorcycle.
They are undergoing treatment at Gadhimai Community Hospital, Sitapur. So far, the police are unsuccessful to investigate the incident and catch the culprit. Only a few days ago, one Musahar of Bhangha Municipality-5 was beaten by the mayor's brother.
