30-year-old Kamala Gurung from Ghumaune, Mahalakshmi Municipality-1 of Dhankuta killed 30-year old Lil Bahadur Gurung with a khukuri of the same place who attempted rape on her.

According to Kamala, the man tried to rape her by breaking the door while she was sleeping at home at around 10 pm and got injured in the Khukuri attack and fled. His body was found in Lahure Kholsi next morning with serious head injuries.

According to the police, the initial investigation revealed that the deceased was killed while trying to rape the woman. The body of the deceased was brought to the district hospital for postmortem while the woman is under control of police and further investigation is underway. 

The deceased has two sons and his wife left him and remarried about a year ago. Meanwhile, Kamala’s husband went to Dubai about 15 months ago for foreign employment. The incident took place while she was at home with her 11-year-old son.
