27-year-old Sangita Rai in Samayojan Tol in Mechi Municipality-4, Jhapa died when her 34-year-old husband Parbat Rai punched her with a fist during a domestic dispute at around 6:30 pm on Sunday night, October 18. 

A team was deployed from Bahundangi police post after receiving the information that the wife was injured, however, the wife was already dead on their arrival. The full details of the dispute is not disclosed. Police arrested the husband and further investigation is underway.
